You may add (and delete) 'Analysis Field' lookup menu values for User selection when working with 'Text' User Defined Fields. See the following:
To add 'Analysis Field' lookup menu values to a new 'Text' User Defined Field you are creating:
1. Follow steps 1 - 3 of Creating User Defined Fields to begin defining a new 'Text' User Defined Field.
Note: To add or delete 'Analysis Field' lookup menu values in an existing 'Text' User Defined Field see Updating User Defined Lookup Menu Values below.
2. Click the Add hyperlink to the right of the Analysis Fields header:
3. The Analysis Field Entry window displays. In the uppermost field, enter the menu value you wish to add:
4. As you type, the Add button is enabled. Click Add - or [Return] - to add the menu value.
The value is added to the list below.
Note: To delete a value added in error, click to highlight the value in the list, then click Delete.
Repeat as necessary to create as many menu values as you require for this User Defined Field.
5. When you have finished, click Close.
The added lookup menu values display to the right of the Analysis Fields header in User Defined Data Maintenance:
Note: If you add more than 5 menu values, only the first 5 will display. Click more... to view the full list of menu values and/or edit or delete menu values.
6. If necessary, click Save to save the new User Defined Field (and any associated lookup menu values you have created).
You may wish to update 'Analysis Field' values for an existing User Defined Field by:
adding further menu values; or
deleting menu values.
To do this:
1. Follow steps 1 - 2 of Editing User Defined Fields to:
open User Defined Data Maintenance; then
select the required document type (e.g. Sales Order); then
highlight the User Defined Field (in the top-right area) you wish to edit/delete; then
click Amend.
2. Click more... (to the right of the Analysis Fields header) to view the full list of menu values and/or edit or delete menu values for this User Defined Field:
3. The Analysis Field Entry window displays.
To add additional menu values: follow steps 3 - 4 of Adding User Defined Lookup Menu Values above.
To delete existing menu values: click to highlight the menu value you wish to delete, then click Delete:
Repeat as necessary to add/delete as many menu values as you require for this User Defined Field.
4. When you have finished, click Close.
5. If necessary, click Save to save any updates to this record.
