Retrieving The IBT Issue

In the next step of the IBT procedure a user at the Issue Branch  - the branch which will issue the goods - must retrieve and open the IBT Issue using the Finder, before amending/Completing the IBT and printing an IBT Despatch Note. To retrieve the IBT Issue:

 

1.      Select Outgoing IBTs in the Finder, to view IBTs relating to outgoing stock.

 

2.      Make sure your branch is selected (i.e. the Issue Branch - Warrington in this example) in the Branch menu on the Finder Toolbar.

 

3.      Click Advanced on the Finder Toolbar to view Advanced criteria.

 

4.      Select the following Filters: Unconfirmed; Printed; Issues Only (or Default View).

 

5.      Click the Search icon on the Finder Toolbar.

 

All Unconfirmed IBT Issues at the (pre)Despatch stage for which a Picking Note has been Printed are listed in the Finder:

Note: IBT Allocations created by the Issue Branch, bypassing the Request stage, will not have a Request Number. See Notes About IBT Numbering.

 

6.      Use the standard Finder methods to locate and open the required record in the Finder results. For further details see Finding Outgoing IBTs.

 

Note: The Request Branch - Quayside Business Park in this example - may also locate the IBT at this point by selecting 'Incoming IBTs' in the Finder and 'Quayside Business Park' in the Branch menu on the Finder Toolbar.

 

You may now amend the IBT Issue/Despatch and record variance as necessary before Completing and printing the IBT Issue/despatch to generate an IBT Despatch Note.
