Quantum VS enables merchants to apply the following types of delivery charge on Completion of a Sales Order (or Quote or Sales Enquiry), depending on the order type and your system settings:
Carriage Charges: a form of delivery charge which may be used to apply a delivery charge based on the overall value of the Sales Order/Quote/Sales Enquiry. See Adding Carriage Charges And Premium Delivery Charges.
Premium Delivery Charges: a form of delivery charge which may be used to apply a specific delivery/postage charge (which will either replace or be added to the Carriage Charge) to the Sales Order/Quote/Sales Enquiry. See Adding Carriage Charges And Premium Delivery Charges.
Haulage Charge: a standard charge for haulage added as a separate Manual Price Line on the Sales Order/Quote/Sales Enquiry, which may be applied if you are not using Carriage Charges or Premium Delivery Charges. See Adding Haulage Charges.
You will only be able to apply Carriage Charges and/or Premium Delivery Charges if these have been set up by the System Administrator.
If Carriage Charges and/or Premium Delivery Charges have NOT been set up on the system, you may still add a charge for haulage - see Adding Haulage Charges.

When you complete a Sales Order (or Quote or Sales Enquiry), either:
If Carriage Charges and/or Premium Delivery Charges have been set up on your system: The Add Delivery Charge to... window will pop up (with qualifying orders/quotes/enquiries and customers) on completion of the Sales Order/Quote/Sales Enquiry, prompting you to add a Carriage Charge and/or Premium Delivery Charge. See Adding Carriage Charges And Premium Delivery Charges. OR:
If Carriage Charges and/or Premium Delivery Charges have not been set up on your system: either the Add Manual Price Line to... window will pop up (with qualifying orders/quotes/enquiries and customers) on completion of the Sales Order/Quote/Sales Enquiry, prompting you to add a standard haulage charge, or you may add the haulage charge manually as a separate Manual Price Line on the Sales Order/Quote/Sales Enquiry. When a Sales Order is Completed, options for selecting the Carrier Service Level and Carrier will display in the Add Delivery Charge to... window - see Adding Carriage Charges And Premium Delivery Charges. This enables you to select the Carrier Service Level and Carrier required by the Customer for shipping/delivery. For further details see Carrier Service Selection And The Sales Order Processing Cycle.
