Branch Control Report

The Branch Control report shows sales totals for a selected period for all Branches or selected Branches. For each order type - Credit Sale/Cash Sale and Delivered/Collected/Direct - the total number of orders, value, GP and Margin are shown. You may select the period to print values for: you may select a given financial period (up to 24 months ago), show values for the current or next month, or show daily values.

 

This report may be used to provide a branch-by-branch breakdown of sales for the day, or for a specified month or period.

 

To run the Branch Control report:

 

1.      Either:

 

The Reports record opens in a new tab, listing all Reports by Name and Category.

 

2.      Use your mouse or [Tab] key to select the Branch Control report:

3.      Select report options in the available fields as required, using the following as a guide:

 

Note: You may use your [Tab] key to move from one field to the next.

By default, the report will be run against all of your branches (i.e. the default choice of 'All' will be selected in the Branch menu).

 

However, you may run the report against an alternative single branch by selecting it from the drop-down menu.

 

Note: Branch menu options are held in the table file B and must be defined using Branch Maintenance.

Period Range 1

 

Use the drop-down menu to select the period to print values for, from the following:

 

  • Daily - print Daily values

  • Current Month - print values for the current month

  • Next Month - print values for the next month

  • From/To - print values for a selected number of months. Enter the number of months in the From/To fields which appear (e.g. From 1 to 24 months; 1 is the minimum possible number of months; 24 is the maximum possible number of months).

 

Note: If the Analysis Report field of the Branch record (Miscellaneous tab) of any selected Branch is checked, Period Range 1 will default to Daily.

Select the second period range to print as per above.

 

4.      Click Start on the Toolbar - Sub Menu to begin running the report.

 

5.      When the report has finished running, a Status message will be shown listing a URL at which the report can be viewed and printed or emailed if necessary.

 

Note: You may use Print Groups to view, print or email the report at a later date. See Viewing, Printing And Emailing Documents.

 

Click OK to close this message. You may now close the Reports tab if you wish.
