Quantum VS Help: File Maintenance |
There is the option in Quantum VS to automatically print a Certificate of Conformity when the order's Despatch Note is printed. The document may be sent to a printer, and perhaps then posted to a customer; alternatively it might be sent directly to the customer by email, fax or via the Quantum VS XML Highway.
A Certificate of Conformity is a document which proves a product being sold/despatched meets certain regulatory, technical and safety requirements. This is sometimes referred to as Type Approval, since the document shows the product is certified to meet certain requirements for its particular 'type'. Certificates of Conformity are commonly used in the automotive industry in the European Union, but may potentially be used within any market, country or territory worldwide.
To set up Certificate Of Conformity printing, certain settings must be configured. See Setting Up Certificate Of Conformity Printing.
Subsequently, when a Sales Order is raised, you may select the Certificate Of Conformity to be printed for this order using the Cert Of Conformity field in the Sales Order header. Additional options are available at the 'despatch' stage of the order: you may use the Reprint option to reprint a Certificate of Conformity, potentially to an alternative print destination. See Example: Selecting And Printing A Certificate Of Conformity For A Sales Order.
For each Certificate Of Conformity you intend to print, you will need to create and save a Certificate Of Conformity record which holds the certificate's key, description and text. See Creating A Certificate Of Conformity Record.
Existing Certificate Of Conformity records are displayed in, and may be accessed from, the Finder. See Finding Certificate Of Conformity Records.
Certificate Of Conformity records may be amended and deleted as required.
