Finding The IBT Request

When a user at the Request/Receiving Branch raises an IBT Request to request stock from another branch, after the IBT Request has been Completed and Printed it is accessible in the Finder with a status of Unconfirmed and Printed.

The Request/Receiving Branch may now wish to retrieve the IBT Request in order to review details. To do this:

Note: The Issue Branch will also need to retrieve the IBT from the Finder in order to allocate and issue the goods. See Retrieving An IBT Allocation.

1.      Select Incoming IBTs in the Finder, to view IBTs relating to incoming stock.

2.      Make sure your branch is selected (i.e. the Request Branch - Quayside Business Park in this example) in the Branch menu on the Finder Toolbar.

3.      Click Advanced on the Finder Toolbar to view Advanced criteria.

4.      Select the following Filters: Unconfirmed; Printed; Requests Only (or Default View).

5.      Click the Search icon on the Finder Toolbar.

All Incoming IBTs with the chosen criteria are listed in the Finder.

At this point the Request Number and IBT Number are the same (see Notes About IBT Numbering). The Narrative column reads 'Request Outstanding', indicating that the IBT Request has been made but the goods have not been Allocated/Delivered:

You may use the standard Finder methods to locate the required record in the Finder results and open it if necessary. For further details see Finding Incoming IBTs.

Note: The Issue Branch - Warrington in this example - may also locate the IBT by selecting 'Outgoing IBTs' in the Finder and 'Warrington' in the Branch menu on the Finder Toolbar. See Retrieving An IBT Allocation.
