You may use the Finder to:
show details of your Special Price records;
locate specific Special Price records; and
open a Special Price record for viewing/editing.
Note: Rather than using your mouse, it is possible to use your keyboard to activate the required record type in the Finder, browse records in the Finder, then open the record in a new tab or add it to an open document. See Using Keyboard Shortcuts With The Finder.
To show Special Price records in the Finder:
From the Home tab: under search, select Special Prices.
Or: Use the search section in the Mega Menu to select Special Prices.
Or: From the main menu: select Edit > Search, then select Special Prices.
Or: In the Finder: click the 'down' arrow on the Search... button and select Special Prices from the menu.
Your Special Price records will be listed in the Finder. For example:

Note: You may change the sequence of records displayed - see Changing The Search Sequence.
If more than one page of records is displayed in the Finder you may click the blue arrow keys on the Finder Toolbar to scroll through pages of records and/or enter/select a page number. For example, entering 40 will show the 40th page of results. See Browsing Records in The Finder.
To open the required record from the Finder, either:
Click the Identifier hyperlink of the record you wish to open.
Or: Right-click on the line of the record, then select the View... option.
The record will open in a new tab. For further details see Special Price Maintenance.

Account: To open the Customer record associated with this Special Price record
You may wish to alter the sequence in which the records are displayed in the Finder. To do this:
1. Click Advanced on the Finder Toolbar.
2. The Search menu shows the current order in which records are displayed. To change the sequence, select an alternative option from the menu.
Special Prices have the following Search options:
Account: Display Special Price records (and search results) in Account order.
Branch: Display Special Price records (and search results) in Branch order.
You may also change the sort order by selecting either A to Z or Z to A.
3. Click the search (magnifying glass) icon on the Finder toolbar. The records will be re-sequenced.
To find a specific record without having to browse through pages of records:
1. Type an appropriate search term into the search field on the Finder Toolbar.
The search term you enter should relate to the Search option selected - see above. For example, if the Search option is Account then enter all or part of the Account number.
Note: You may click the down arrow within the search field to view and select a recent search.
2. Click the search (magnifying glass) icon on the Finder toolbar.
The records will be re-sequenced in the Finder, with the nearest matching record displayed at the top.
You may use filters to control which records are displayed in the Finder. To filter Special Price records:
1. Click Advanced on the Finder Toolbar.
2. By default, all Special Price record (a) Types, (b) All/Absolute types, (c) Site types, (d) Branch types and (e) Active? types are displayed in the results (i.e. all of the Type, Site, Branch, Active? fields are checked, plus the All/Absolute boxes). To reduce the number of results you may uncheck the following fields:
Type:
All: Show Special Price records of every Type
Fixed Price: Show 'Fixed Price' Special Price records (i.e. Special Prices which apply to a selected product for a specified customer)
Override Matrix: Show 'Override Matrix Discounts' Special Price records (i.e. Special Prices which apply up to two discounts to a range of products for a specified customer, overriding any prices/discounts applied by the Discount Matrix)
Disc. Selling: Show 'Discount Against Sell Price' Special Price records (i.e. Special Prices which apply up to two discounts to the selling price of a range of products for a specified customer, overriding all other discounts/breaks)
Cost Plus %: Show 'Cost Plus Percentage' Special Price records (i.e. Special Prices which apply a percentage to the cost price of a range of products in order to calculate the final selling price for the specified customer (i.e. selling price = cost price + percentage). Two further discounts may also be added. This will override any other discounts/breaks)
Disc. Reg. Selling: Show 'Discount Against Regulated Sell' Special Price records (i.e. Special Prices which are similar to Cost Plus Percentage above, except the Regulator is included with the selling price before the discounts are applied)
Price Grp. Exceptions: Show 'Matrix Exception' Special Price records (i.e. Special Prices which apply discounts to a selected Price Group for a specified customer, which will override any discounts specified by the Discount Matrix for that customer/price group combination) which apply to Price Groups
Product Grp. Exceptions: Show 'Matrix Exception' Special Price records (i.e. Special Prices which apply discounts to a selected Price Group for a specified customer, which will override any discounts specified by the Discount Matrix for that customer/price group combination) which apply to Product Groups
All/Absolute:
All: Show both Absolute and non-Absolute Special Price records
Absolute: Show Special Price records which force the system to use a defined special price for a defined product and customer combination, regardless of whether it is actually the 'Best Price' that Quantum VS can calculate
Site:
All: Show Special Price records which apply to both All Sites and to Specific Sites
All Sites: Show Special Price records which apply to all Sites
Specific Sites: Show Special Price records which apply to specific Sites
Branch:
All: Show Special Price records which apply to both All Branches and to Specific Branches
All Branches: Show Special Price records which apply to all Branches
Specific Branches: Show Special Price records which apply to specific Branches
Active?:
All: Show both Active and Expired Special Price records
Active: Show Active Special Price records
Expired: Show Expired Special Price records
You must ensure that at least one filter from each category listed above is selected, otherwise no results will be returned. For example, to show ONLY Fixed Price Special Price Records:
Under Type, ensure only the Fixed Price box is checked.
Ensure All or at least one All/Absolute box is checked.
Ensure All or at least one Site box is checked.
Ensure All or at least one Branch box is checked.
Ensure All or at least one Active? box is checked.
3. Click the search (magnifying glass) icon on the Finder toolbar.
The selected records will be displayed in the Finder.
Note: To list all records again: check the All field(s) then click the search (magnifying glass) icon on the Finder toolbar.
