Quantum VS Help: Introduction |
The following procedures may be useful in overcoming any problems you encounter with files and documents in Quantum VS:
If you encounter a problem with a document and cannot Complete or Cancel the document or exit Quantum VS, you may use the Discard Item feature to 'discard' the document and continue. To do this:
1. From the Toolbar - Main Menu select Documents.
2. In the Documents drop-down, click on the document you wish to discard (e.g. Purchase Order 001/2107048).
3. Select Discard Item:
The document is discarded and you may continue.
If you are unable to perform a function (e.g. manually confirming goods into stock on a Goods Received Note) relating to a product because it is involved in a stock count, do the following:
1. Locate the product in the Finder. See Finding Products.
2. Check to see if the product is involved in a stock count. If the product is involved in a stock count:
a tick will appear against the product in the Stock Count column; and
the Count Ref column will display the reference of the stock count in which the product is currently involved (e.g. SJS1). Make a note of this reference.
If the product is involved in a stock count you may wish to cancel it. To cancel the stock count:
3. Open the Stock Control tab. See Opening The Stock Control Tab.
4. Select Stock Variance Report in the left-hand menu. See Running The Stock Variance Report.
5. Enter/select details in the following fields:
In the Stock Count Reference field, enter the reference you noted earlier.
Use the Print Option menu to select Cancel the Stock Take.
6. Click Start to run the Stock Variance Report.
When the report has finished running, the stock take in which the product is involved will be cancelled.
