Sales Ledger Maintenance

The Sales Ledger control record holds the system settings which relate to your sales ledger. This includes General details and Period End Dates, Account Status descriptions, Balances and VAT details.

 

To set up or amend your Sales Ledger, see below.

 

Note: At the end of each trading period (at the end of every month, for most systems/companies) you will need to roll over the VAT dates/balances for This Period and Next Period. See Rolling Over VAT Period Ends.

Setting Up And Editing The Sales Ledger

To set up or edit the Sales Ledger control record:

 

1.      Either:

 

The Sales Ledger control record will open in a new tab. The General tab/header is shown by default:

2.      To amend the record, select Amend from the Toolbar - Sub Menu (as shown above).

 

The Sales Ledger control record is now active and ready for editing.

 

3.      Enter/amend details in the following tabs (click links for details on each tab and its fields):

 

4.      When you have finished setting up/editing the Sales Ledger, click Save on the Toolbar - Sub Menu to save the amended record.

 

Note: The Warning: Secure Fields Changed dialogue displays if you have edited secure fields.. To continue, click Yes. (Or, click No to lose any changes.)
