Individual Document Scanning

Individual Document Scanning (as opposed to Bulk Document Scanning) is for users wishing to scan documents or attach files to be saved against a specific record. You may use Individual Document Scanning to scan/attach items for archiving against a selected Despatch Note, Picking Note, Purchase Invoice, Goods Received Note or Batch Certificate.

 

Note: If you wish to scan a batch of Despatch Notes or Picking Notes and then have the system automatically match them with documents on the system and then archive the scanned images, see Bulk Document Scanning.

 

There are various ways to begin scanning documents or attaching images to a selected record. See Individual Document Scanning Methods.

 

When the Scan Documents tab is open you may scan documents - or attach images - to the selected record and then archive them. Scanning, Attaching And Archiving For Individual Documents.

 

Archived images can subsequently be retrieved and printed or emailed as necessary (e.g. if a customer wished to query whether certain goods were received or signed for). See Working With Archived Documents.

 

Note: Optional Enhancements, Roles/User Permissions and other prerequisites must be enabled to scan the required document type(s). See Setting Up Document Scanning.
