User Defined details may be recorded for the following document types: Customers, Customer Part Numbers, Products, Suppliers, Sales Orders and Purchase Order Lines.
Note: User Defined Fields are created in User Defined Data Maintenance. Available User Defined fields and options available on your system will depend on those selected when Creating User Defined Fields.
Users may record User Defined details in a range of ways, depending on the fields created and options selected when User Defined Fields were created. See:

When adding User Defined details, note that you may be:
forced to enter details in the User Defined field before you can save/Complete the document (if 'Mandatory Field?' was selected when the User Defined Field was created);
and/or: prompted to enter unique data in the User Defined field before you can save/Complete the document (if 'Unique Field?' was selected when the User Defined Field was created).
