Creating A Kit Record

To create a new Kit you will first need to open a new blank Kit record.

IMPORTANT: If you are creating a permanent Kit you will first need to create a Kit-flagged Product record - See Creating A Kit-Flagged Product Record (Permanent Kits Only). This is not necessary if you are creating a temporary Kit.

To create a new Kit use one of the following methods:

(a) From the Toolbar - Sub Menu: click the arrow next to New... then select Kit.

OR: (b) If 'Kit' is the current 'default document' (i.e. the document type currently selected in the New... menu on the left of the Toolbar - Sub Menu): click [F5] on your keyboard.

OR: (c) From the Home tab: under create, select Kit.

OR: (d) From the Toolbar Main Menu: select File > New then select Kit from the menu.

OR: (e) From the Finder Toolbar: click the arrow on the Search... button and select Search Kits (any Kits created will appear in the search results) then select New Kit from the Finder toolbar. See example:

OR: (f) Click the appropriate module on the Mega Menu (e.g. Stock Control), then under create select Kit.

A new Kit record will open in a new tab:

To create the Kit you will need to do the following on the Kit record:

Enter header details to define the Kit. See Entering Kit Header Details.

Enter component lines - these are the products to be included in the Kit. These might be standard Products or 'Kit' products. See Adding Kit Component Products.

Enter text lines. You may add up to 8 text lines. These might be used as instructions for making up the Kits, for example. See Adding Kit Text Lines.

Once you have defined the Kit you will need to save the new Kit record. See Saving A Kit Record.
