Quantum VS Help: Sales Desk |
You may edit a Forward Order line's Quantity, Required Date, Allocation Date and/or Target Date (if enabled) at any time before or after Sales Order Completion, up until stock is allocated to the line.
Note: An alternative way of editing the Required Date, Allocation Date and/or Target Date (if enabled) for single or multiple Forward lines is to use 'Line Actions'. See Forward Order Lines: Entering Line Actions.
To edit the details of a Forward Order line:
1. Recall/open the Sales Order containing the Forward Order line. You may retrieve and open the Sales Order:
From the Forward Order Lines Finder.
From the Sales Orders Finder.
From the Open A Recent Document section of the Home tab (if the document has been recently closed). See Finding Recently-Viewed Documents.
From the Sales Orders tab of the Customer record. See Sales Orders Tab: Viewing Customer Sales Orders.
2. The Sales Order is opened. Click Amend on the Toolbar - Sub Menu to place the document in 'Amend' mode.
3. Select one of the following Lines View Modes, so that Required, Allocation and Target (if enabled) dates will display for any Forward lines added:
Forward Order View; or
Date View
To do this, select Lines View > Lines View Modes > Forward Order View (or Date View) from the Toolbar - Sub Menu.
Note: For further details see Lines View Modes.
4. Click on a Forward Order line's Required Date, Allocation Date or Target Date (if enabled) hyperlink:
5. The Forward Order Schedule window displays (see step 5 of Sales Orders: Adding Forward Order Lines):
To edit a Quantity, or a Required Date / Allocation Date / Target Date (if enabled):
Click the cell in the schedule you wish to edit; then
type in the quantity value; or
if it is a date field: type in the date manually in the following format (01/01/2019) or click the 'calendar' icon and use it to select a date.
Note: The Allocation Date cannot be later than the Required Date. This is because stock must be released to the line before the goods are Picked and Delivered to the Customer.
Note: If the Update Target Date dialogue displays after amending the line's Required Date, click either Yes - to update the line's Target Date to the same date, or No - to leave the line's Target Date as it is.
6. Click [Tab] to enter the value and move the cursor focus to the next cell.
7. Repeat to edit further Forward Order Schedule lines as necessary.
You may also add lines to the Forward Order Schedule using the:
Create Repeat Schedule tab: to create a regular schedule. See Generating A Repeating Forward Order Schedule.
Add To Schedule tab: to create an irregular schedule. See Manually Creating A Forward Order Schedule.
8. Click Confirm, as described in step 6 of Sales Orders: Adding Forward Order Lines.
Note: You cannot Confirm unless the aggregate Quantity of all lines in the Schedule section matches the Ordered Quantity (i.e. the Outstanding Qty is 0).
The Forward Order Schedule window is closed and the Sales Order is amended to show the new Quantity/Required Date/Allocation Date/Target Date (if enabled).
