Quantum VS Help: File Maintenance |
The File Maintenance module allows you to:
set up files/records for the running of your business,
perform regular maintenance on these files/records (e.g. updating Customers, Products, Prices etc.), and also
run important Processes and Reports to update files/records and generate useful data.
These tasks may be assigned to various individuals with the necessary job function and privileges, as well as the System Administrator/Admin User.
The File Maintenance module is used for records which are likely to require regular set-up and maintenance, including Customer, Supplier, Product, Price, Stock and User records.
By contrast, the System Administration module is used for setting up control records - such as your Sales Ledger - which can be set for a long-term basis, rather than having to be updated daily or weekly (such as, for example, your Customer records).
Once your 'back end' system has been created and Quantum VS has been installed, you may configure Quantum VS for your business by setting up files and records. See Setting Up Quantum VS For Your Business.
