For New Users:

Introducing Quantum VS:

Take a tour of Quantum VS - get acquainted with the desktop layout, main features, shortcuts and working practices. Plus: how to use the Finder and other search features to locate and open any document/record type you wish to work with.

 

For Sales Staff:

Sales Desk:

Create Sales Orders - including Forward, Direct and Back-To-Back orders. Print and confirm Picking Notes, Delivery Assembly, Despatch Notes and Consignment Notes. Create Quotes, Sales Enquiries, Sales Contracts, Standing Orders, Credit Notes, Sales Invoices and other sales documents.

 

For Purchasing/Accounts Staff:

Purchasing:

Create Purchase Orders. Receive goods into stock with Goods Received Notes. Work with Supplier Returns. Register and allocate Supplier invoices using Purchase Invoice Registration and Matching.

 

For Sales/Purchasing Staff:

Document Scanning:

Scan and process (i.e. recognise and archive) paper documents for storage against a Quantum VS record (Despatch Note, Picking Note). Recall and view/save/print/email saved images. Also: record a customer signature on order completion for 'proof of collection'.

 

For Telesales Staff:

Call Manager:

Work with incoming and outgoing calls, view caller details and create documents relevant to callers. See also: Setting Up Call Manager/TAPI.

 

For Administrators:

System Administration:

Set up your key ledgers: Sales Ledger, Price Book Flags, Price Book General, Sales Nominal Control, Purchase Nominal Control. Set up your business's core files, including: Nominal Codes, Table Files, Calculation Methods, Terms and Conditions, Printers, Branch IBT, Multi-Currency Selling, VAT Records, Optional Enhancements, Timber Treatments / Length Masks / Long Length Surcharges. PLUS: Backing up and restoring Quantum VS.

 

File Maintenance:

Set up and manage business files and records, including Roles/Users, Branches, Customers, Contacts/Tasks, Suppliers, Products - including Product Batch Traceability, Prices, Stock, Branch Stock, Kits, Works Order Processing, Packs, Inter Branch Transfers, Delivery Charges, Carriers, Route Rounds, Certificates Of Conformity, User Defined Fields, Quantum VS eBusiness Integration. PLUS: Run Processes and Reports.

 

For Accounts/Credit Controllers:

Credit Control And Reviews

Authorise customer credit accounts and run Credit Reviews for automating repetitive Credit Control tasks, such as sending bulk letter mailings, telephoning customers and updating customer account status. PLUS: Credit Authorisation; Cash Posting.
